ABOUT JESS

Jess is a professional Actor-Singer and Musical Theatre Vocal Coach specialising in preparing performers for drama school, auditions and professional work.
She trained in Musical Theatre at Leeds College of Music (now Leeds Conservatoire) and at the Arden School of Theatre in Manchester, graduating with a First Class BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre.

Alongside her coaching, Jess has built a diverse professional performing career across UK theatre tours, Disneyland Paris, luxury hotels, six-star cruise liners, large-scale music productions and pantomime.
Working across classical, musical theatre, pop and rock styles has required her to keep her voice not only strong, but reliable under professional performance conditions - the same standard she expects from the performers she coaches.
Because she is actively working in the industry, Jess understands what casting teams and creatives listen for in the room; not just vocal quality but stamina, emotional truth and consistency under pressure.

Jess maintains her own vocal health through regular work with leading coaches and ongoing professional development.
She is certified through the BAST Course for Singing Teachers and is a qualified Vocal Health First Aider, ensuring that all technical work is grounded in healthy, sustainable vocal use.

Her coaching studio is focused on serious musical theatre performers who want more than general singing tuition. Helping them align their voice, repertoire and performance with what the industry requires.

Jess was named Vocal Coach of the Year by the Yorkshire Prestige Awards in 2021/2022 and again in 2024/2025.
